Some Wildflowers
Here's a collection of wildflowers (aka weeds) from around our garden. I've become fascinated by the variety and delicacy of these flowers, which I've completely overlooked until now. And what evocative names...
(Bear in mind, the identifications are my best guesses, far from authoritative!)
A beautiful Monkey Flower, clinging to the side of stone steps:
Broad-leaved Willowherb near the oil tank:
Lady's Mantle thriving round the side of the house:
Dandelion lazing on the lawn:
The unusually-named Herb-Robert (a Geranium!) down by the Leylandii:
Nipplewort, of the same Daisy/Asteraceae family as the Dandelion above (thanks for the identification, Mum!):
